Donors should remove personal information before donating whenever possible. Devices accepted for reuse should undergo an appropriate data-handling process before redistribution.
We describe our handling steps plainly and do not claim certifications we do not hold. If a specific documented process is required for your organization, tell us and we will be straightforward about what we can and cannot provide.

A laptop that still has useful life does not necessarily need to become scrap. Repairing, refurbishing, and reusing electronics can extend the value of hardware that has already been manufactured.
At the same time, that same computer can become an important tool for someone who needs one.
